Sing with members of The South Coast Folk Society at a Community Sing-Along, for two hours of harmonizing to the accompaniment of local musicians. This is a public event open to all ages and voices. Sip 'n Stroll!

Participants will receive a wristband, souvenir wine/beer glass, and a program which lists each pouring location. Guests will then be able to stroll from location to location sampling beer and wine, while enjoying the charming downtown of North Bend. Before, during, or after the Sip 'n Stroll, guests will also be able to partake in Sip /n Stroll dinner specials being offered by restaurants in the area. Many of the samploing businesses will be offering Sip 'n Stroll specials for the evening. The North Bend Downtown Association will be donating the proceeds to a local charity/cause. South Coast Folk Society Presents
Contra Dance

South Coast Folk Society holds a contra dance on the 3rd Saturday of each month (exception Dec.3) Admission is $7, seniors/students $6, SCFS members $5, under 6 free. No partner or experience needed. All dances are taught by a caller; always live music. Contra dancing is an energetic couples line dance rooted in old English country dancing and performed with live music to the instructions of a caller. All dances are taught. We may also do an occasional circle or square dance, and each half session ends with a waltz. This is an easy-to-learn and forgiving dance form suitable for ages 9 to 90, offered in a spirit of community. Instruction for beginners starts at 7:00pm. the main dancing is from 7:30 to 10:30, and all dances are taught. For more information contact Stacy at 541-756-4701.

Annual Tree Lighting & Santa's Arrival
Downtown Boardwalk, Coos Bay

Caroling will begin at 5:00pm at the Pavilion on the Boardwalk with Hot Cider & Popcorn provided by Farr's True Value Hardware. Santa will arrive at 5:30ish for the tree lighting with the mayor at about 5:45. We'll walk with Santa to Coast Karate for visiting & wish making. While we ar visiting enjoy the festive music of the Oregon Coast Lab Band. After wishes have been told we will gather together for a showing of The Muppets Christmas Carol sponsored by Outdoor-In. this will be right around 7:30pm Please feel free to bring blankets and pillows to curl up on the karate mats with your family.
